Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Clerk is responsible for ensuring all inventory is properly accounted for during all stages of the production/packaging process, reconcile inventory for accuracy purposes and ensure that raw product and packaging requirements are met and verified each day.

Requirements: 
  • 1-2 years of production experience, preferably in the food industry
  • Proficient in Word/Excel/Outlook as well as inventory management software
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent math skills, detail oriented with an eye for accuracy is required
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively/ability to stand for long periods of time during the work day
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required, which will include some evenings and weekends
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  •  Utilize the Inventory Management module in the Enterprise Resource System to complete production inventory transactions.
  •  Conduct physical checks to verify purchase order numbers, product description and quantities for all raw product used by production, in accordance with the daily production schedule.
  •  File daily production documents.
  •  Examine labels, materials and products and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  •  Verify output quantities from the respective lines and ensure that finished skids are correctly tagged.
  •  Verify quantities for all packaging materials used in the production processes and ensure that packaging inventory is accurately depleted.
  •  Assist with tracking usage of non-inventory production materials and report shortages in a timely manner.
  •  Assist with cycle counts as needed.
  •  Operate Walkie, Reach, and Forklift (as required).
Education: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current license for forklift, reach, walkie considered an asset
