Job Description:

The Interfresh Director of Warehouse Operations will oversee all functions of the Interfresh Vernon, CA Warehouse.

Interfresh Director of Food Safety
Compensation/Salary:

Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 5 years warehouse management experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, oral and written
  • Knowledge of the produce industry (product and distribution)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proficiency with Famous Software preferred (but not required)
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen

  •  Health Insurance: Interfresh currently pays up to $242 per month for the employee's health plan. Your portion will be withheld from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.
  • 401(k) Plan: Interfresh offers a 401(k) plan which allows you to defer up to $18,500 per year, ($24,500 if you are 50 or older) from your salary.
    Vacation: You will accrue 2 weeks vacation per year for years 1-2, and 3 weeks per year afterward.

     

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Be an effective team member and team leader-

    • Ability to provide leadership to  warehouse personnel
    • Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with Interfresh management
  • Direct all warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, and supervision of drivers and all warehouse floor personnel
  • Responsibility for Food Safety compliance, audits, and adherence to company Food Safety Standards
  • Oversee and manage warehouse costs and services with outside vendors
  • Train and evaluate warehouse workers
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, including daily and weekly inventory counts
  • Oversee inventory quality, including a system of identifying product nearing its shelf life
  • Manage equipment maintenance and repair-pallet jacks, forklifts, trucks, refrigeration equipment, etc.
  • Responsibility for all required programs, i.e. CHP BIT program, DMV Employee Pull Notice Program, etc.
  • Assist with product traceback/recalls
  • Scheduling of drivers and warehouse workers, with an eye toward minimizing overtime
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement processes to maximize efficiencies
  • Manage warehouse and packing supplies
  • Adhere to all Interfresh company policies and procedures
  • Conduct the business of Interfresh with the highest ethics and level of integrity
