Henry Avocado Corporation, located in Escondido, was founded in 1925 and is family owned and operated. We are a year round grower, shipper and distributor of fresh avocados. Within the thriving avocado industry, our operation has expanded to include nationwide distribution. We are creating a new position to support our Information Systems. This position joins our headquarters team at a time of growth and operational expansion.

Work with system users to understand the day-to-day working of programs and possible improvements

Recommend revisions to management

Create documentation and user guides for proprietary company software

Work side-by-side with users to explain documentation and user guides

Train employees on a variety of programs

Respond to all user questions and problems

Monitor specific company operations / systems

Act as quality control for new programs (testing as appropriate)
- Ability to provide writing samples
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and ability to explain technical software concepts to all levels of user
- English / Spanish fluency (verbal) (ability to write in Spanish will be a plus)
- Writing technical descriptions including user guides, training documents, and email to users
- Analysis of problems and determination of possible solutions
- Serving “internal customers”
- Project management
This is a full time hourly position (40 hours a week); with comprehensive benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, vacation pay, sick pay and holiday pay and 401K plan with employer contribution.
