JOB FILLED - Organic Vendor Relations Coordinator

The primary function of this position is to coordinate with growers to fulfill our supply needs for organic and conventional produce’ including all of our private label suppliers based on company needs.  This person will be working towards building a career in grower relations and distribution of produce.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Maintain all information on our produce private label including but not limited to; timing, availability, pricing, and the ability to professionally organize and share this information with the appropriate departments. 
  • Work with Food Safety Department to make sure growers meet all Food Safety requirements and all documentation(s) are kept up-to-date.
  • Coordinate production planning with growers based on division needs.
  • Organize, manage and coordinate all necessary supplies needed for our private label to operate successfully.
  • Embrace the agricultural community and become well educated on growers, organizations, regulations and agencies.
  • Work with other departments and projects as needed.
Education: 
  • Preferred Associates or Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business administration, marketing or similar areas of focus.
Skills: 
  • The ability to recruit, cold call and negotiate.
  • Superior phone, computer, communication and customer service. 
  • Highly attentive to details and accuracy. 
  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities, deadlines and team objectives. 
  • Strong math skills. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment. 
  • The ability to be reliable, work flexible hours / days and occasionally travel. 
  • The ability to understand that our customers and vendors are all of the upmost importance.
Qualifications: 
  • 2-3 years of experience preferred in sourcing and sales.
  • Knowledge of produce industry, distribution channels, agriculture and food safety programs are a plus.
