JOB FILLED - Inventory Supervisor

Job Description:

This position is responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the Inventory Control functions, which includes performing cycle counts of the warehouse inventory, conducting investigations of suspected out-of-balance items and making corrections to the inventory based upon that research, coordinating all special processing of inventory including return to vendor shipments and performing other related tasks.

This position has a 4 AM start time.

Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or GED required; plus 2+ years of combined warehouse and inventory control experience.
  • Excellent math, reading, communication (verbal and written) and problem solving/analytical skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to handles multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail, solid judgment and decision making skills.
  • Forklift certification may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs solo or greater weights in a team lift.
  • MS Word and MS Excel experience.
  • Previous Warehouse Management (WMS) experience required.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure Quality fulfillment services.
  • Coordinates cycle counts as scheduled or as requested by management.
  • Help with completing physical inventory as scheduled or as requested by management.
  • Review and analyze daily inventory adjustments and changes.
  • Assist with reports and analysis of inventory control results and activities.
  • Analyze inventory metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Develop, maintain and evaluate databases and queries/reports to support inventory control analysis and reporting.
  • Assess existing business processes and logic that impacts companywide inventory operations.
  • Support or adapt existing applications (Thyme, Excel), tools and reporting as needed.
  • Performs slot checks as requested to ensure alignment of systems and physical inventory.
  • Analyze data and audit processes (e.g. returns and inventory movement analysis).
  • Develop and lead a team of Inventory & Quality control.
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions (AIB, FDA and OSHA standards where applicable).
  • Manage employees to make sure warehouse is left in good condition after shift and that all pallets are broken down evenly.
Skills: 
  • Ability to manage the pressure associated with deadline-oriented atmosphere.
  • Demonstrates skill in making independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  • Ability to solve practical and analytical problems.
