JOB FILLED - Sales Specialist

Job Description: 

For three generations and counting, the Braga Family has been at the forefront of the fresh produce industry – growing, packing, and shipping the highest quality fresh organic vegetables all over the world, growing over 20 commodities on more than 15,000 acres.

We are now looking for a Sales Specialist in Bakersfield, CA.

Compensation/Salary: 
DOE
Requirements: 
  • Minimum three years experience in perishable produce sales and account management, with retail and wholesale clients
  • Strong technical skills, including Famous, MS Office and produce industry EDI platforms (Itrade, etc.), along with the ability to learn new applications very quickly
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills
  • Superior problem solving & analytical skills, as well as strong organizational & planning skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to quickly process information to make profitable decisions
  • Self-motivated & goal-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task & prioritize work
  • Team oriented
  • High tolerance for frequent change
  • Self-starter, driven by achieving results
  • Superior work ethic
  • Must be available to work an occasional Saturday
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Maintain and build sales with existing customer base
  • Establish and maintain new customer relationships
  • Implement sales and service strategies to meet the company’s goals
  • Know the product, create the market, and fill the need
  • Daily participation in monitoring aging product inventory and sell accordingly
  • Daily Coordination with Transportation & Logistics
  • Travel: Occasional customer visits and industry functions as needed
  • Excellent communication with management, sales, and production teams
  • Proactively and professionally handle day to day sales
  • Manage customer satisfaction by handling customer requests and complaints in a timely manner
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings
  • Ensure great customer service
  • Manage order entry and maintenance in Famous, iTrade and FoodLink
  • Professionally represent our company and core values
