JOB FILLED - Website Developer and Technical Support Specialist

Job Description:

This role is what we call a “Swiss Army Knife.” We need someone who has web development and design skills…… and secondarily can also help with various IT hardware, software and website issues that come up from time to time. A typical day may include improving a website, trouble-shooting a printer, helping install new software, updating a logo or web image, and creating a new brochure. Great teamwork skills are important!
 
This position is 30 – 40 hrs/wk for someone who can take on the multiple responsibilities that are needed to support a web-based business. We need someone who is smart, has a great attitude, has strong technological skills, is a team-player, and is motivated to work.
 
This person must be familiar with web content management systems, preferably Drupal. Experience with WordPress is also a plus. This person should also have experience with Adobe suite, Google drive management, database management, server troubleshooting, image editing for web and print, and the ability to learn other programs quickly. Ideally, we would like to hire someone who has a broad set of skills including technical support, content management, and graphic design.
 
In this position you will have a chance to learn new technologies and technical skills (on the job and through your own research) and apply them toward the overall maintenance and improvement of our website(s) and our business.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Support, update and troubleshoot joeproduce.com website and other sites we own
  • Trouble-shooting web-based server/hosting problems including server issues, network and backend issues
  • Revision, formatting and creation of images for websites and print use
  • Operating system installation/repair, spyware and virus removal, and data transfer/backup
  • Hardware and software installation and trouble-shooting of office work stations
  • Working within our CRM/database updating and customizing as needed
  • Addressing customer support and technical support calls in a friendly professional mannerTechnical support to team as needed
  • Designing and/or update marketing materials, logos, photos, images, brochures, etc.
Education:

  • Knowledge and experience can easily substitute for education.

Qualifications: 
  • Familiarity with Drupal and experience in a Drupal, php environment is a BIG plus
  • Experience working within a Content Management System, such as Drupal and WordPress
  • Experience and knowledge of basic HTML
  • Basic familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Good customer service skills
  • Skills with Adobe Acrobat, including action scripts
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of various types of hardware & software used in small businesses
  • Google drive management/use
  • Helpful: Familiarity with Internet-based VOIP phone systems
