Job Description:
The farming technology specialist will be responsible for assisting farm management with the development and coordination of implementation of all farming technology and related projects, as assigned.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of new and improved farming concepts within the Company.
- Training for operation/maintenance phases of technology implementation.
- Assisting with the development and coordination of implementation of automated irrigation/fertigation projects, netting structure design, trellis structure design, and irrigation system design.
- Preparing ranch design layout drawings, planning, and calculations.
- Integration of technologies and data systems.
- Nursery enterprise, inventory/business manager.
- Institutionalizing senior management knowledge into automated business systems, such as NMP calculations and fertigation rate planning.
- Performing all other duties, tasks, and projects, as assigned by management.
Education:
- 3+ years’ experience in the design and implementation of farming technology, specialized equipment, or related.
- B.S. degree in agricultural field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Possession of a CDL and an acceptable driving record insurable by the Company’s insurance policy.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to work outside in seasonal climates.
- Ability to work on uneven field terrain and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time, and for varying durations of a work shift to fulfil all duties and responsibilities for a normal workday.
- Ability to safely operate and work in close proximity to vehicles, tractors, trailers and related farming equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work day/night/weekend shifts and extensive hours when necessary, and be very flexible to fulfill the demands of the job.
