Job Description:
We are currently accepting applications to join our team as a Sales Representative offering our packaging solutions to customers working from your home office in Central or Southern California (must reside in CA).

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a sales representative
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel on a near daily basis to maintain existing relationships and generate new leads
- BA/BS degree preferred, but not required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. This position may require travel to Southern California as a backup if/when the Regional Sales Manager is unavailable to do so, for whom this position also reports to.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to provide customers with turn-key solutions for weighing and bagging fresh produce (e.g. layout recommendations, accurate and timely quotations, etc.)
- Monitor projects as they flow through the production and/or manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery of materials and machinery
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, monitor competitive activities and provide status reports to the Regional Sales Manager
- Provide weekly/monthly forecasts for consumable (net and film) and machinery sales
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
- Identify and establish new business leads by either cold calling or visiting packing houses not currently in our portfolio
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Assist with any local/regional trade shows
Skills:
- Previous experience in the fresh produce industry, preferably in the Central Valley, with a sales or technical background.
