We are seeking a Grower Relations Specialist to join our team.  The qualified candidate will be responsible to on-board and manage our grower relationships and communications. 

This position will require a fluent bilingual candidate to work hand-in-hand with growers. The candidate must be very thorough, with excellent communication skills to ensure clear, concise information is delivered in a timely manner.

Professionalism to organize programs and terms with growers to optimize results. Success in this position requires an individual with a strong sense of urgency and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Ensure new growers are aligned with company policy regarding sustainable sourcing 
  • Manage relationships to increase supply from existing growers and seek out new sources that align with company & customer supply demands.
  • Negotiate/Consult with farms on pricing, product quality, specs, and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance requirements for supplier approval & food safety are up to date.
  • Assist grower-producers in forecasting and marketing to optimize results.
  • Highly proficient with customs, air, & ocean cargo logistics.
  • Works collaboratively with teams including warehouse, support, sales and marketing to ensure food quality, safety and that customer demands are met
  • Travel throughout the year will be required to maintain our grower relations and continue to develop the business.
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of grower relations, supply chain management experience, or procurement.
  • Experience working directly with farmers is strongly preferred with farms.
  • Knowledgeable of food safety certifications (HACCP, GAP)
  • Communicate and translate sales demand to farmers and help guide crop planning to meet demand
  • Very organized with strong follow-through, both externally and internally
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office applications is required.
