We are now accepting resumes for the position of Controller to join our family in the fertile central valley of California.
As our controller, you will be responsible for building upon the company’s initial administrative foundation, establishing a platform for substantial projected growth. The position will oversee all accounting functions and will be responsible for financial reporting, audit facilitation, transaction system/accounting integrity, establishing US GAAP practices and procedures, internal controls and risk management, period-end financial closing, as well as be an integral part of budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Experience in Famous Software.
- Experience in agriculture, food processing, and/or manufacturing environments.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accounting designation is a plus.
- Developing budgets and tracking budget expenses.
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions including billing, AR, AP, general ledger, cost and inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Implement and maintain US GAAP practices and procedures to ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Establish internal controls.
- Assist in establishing policies, procedures and work flow systems.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Chart of accounts maintenance and control.
- Research and resolution of accounting issues.
- Define, calculate and report on Operational and Financial KPIs.
- Review reports for variances, trends and financial position.
- Facilitate internal and external audits.
- Statutory audits.
- Regulatory reporting.
- Advise Company on technical accounting issues and compliance.
- Provide accounting/financial insights on Company strategic plans.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or relative experience.
- 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience in senior accounting or financial management role.
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and recognize trends.
- Ability to communicate effectively, in English, will all levels of the organization, including ability to comprehend, read, and write.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Experience creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and month/year end closing process.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for all accounting and company information.
- Advance proficiency with fully integrated accounting systems.
