Job Description:
The Muzzi family has been in the produce industry for over 50 years, involved in growing, harvesting, processing, sales and shipping of Fresh and Frozen vegetable products. Muzzi Family Farms handles the Fresh and Frozen sales for the Muzzi family's group of processing companies.
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department at our Moss Landing, CA accounting office. This person will work closely with our sales and processing teams from other locations.
Requirements:
- Understanding and knowledge of basic in-house accounting.
- Experience with Famous software preferred.
- Understanding of the produce industry and the company's products and services.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct, advise and work well with others.
- Strong computer skills with MS Applications & bookkeeping / accounting software.
- Experience in Office management and leadership.
- BS degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with General Accounting Management.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Accounts payable and Accounts receivable Daily cash receipts and balances.
- Check runs and Journal Entry posting.
- Full understanding of General Ledger Grower contracts and payables.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Sales re-caps and reports.
- Inventory re-caps and reports.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Payroll.
- Perform other duties as required.
