Job Description: 

The Manager of Financial Reporting & Analysis is responsible for preparing and reviewing weekly, monthly and ad hoc analysis of financial data including budgets, cost accounting, financial statements, and ROI analysis to monitor operations of the company and improve profitability.

The Manager of Financial Reporting & Analysis reports directly to the controller and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the chief financial officer.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Confirming entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly recorded and are included in internal financial statements and budgets.
  • Assisting controller and chief financial officer with preparation of financial statements for reporting, recordkeeping, audits, and for presentation to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and responsible for regular review and update of budgets with variance analysis.
  • Preparation of ad hoc ROI analysis for senior management.
  • Partnering with and providing management with the financial tools and reports for well-informed and effective decision-making.
  • Maintaining all files necessary for financial analysis and reporting, and support of accounting entries and reconciliations.
  • Accounting and analysis of inventory, purchases, transfers, usage and costing.
  • Interacting with payroll, accounts payable, human resources, and sales departments, as required.
  • Acquiring and maintaining fluency, knowledge and expertise in the Company’s ERP System.
  • Supporting and assisting controller and chief financial officer with special projects, workflow, and improvements with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Performing all other duties, tasks, and projects, as assigned.
Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in public accounting, with some experience in industry with agricultural practices.
  • B.S. in accounting, finance, or related.
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of ERP Systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Detail oriented with ability to format, analyze, summarize, and report data clearly, concisely, and timely.
  • Ability to identify improvements in daily operational practice and communicate to upper management.
  • Respectful, constructive, energetic with a ‘get-it-done’ style, with the ability to seamlessly fit into a mature, established group, working cooperatively and collaboratively to maximize performance and results.
  • Possession a valid DL, dependable transportation, basic auto insurance coverage, and an insurable driving record.
