JOB FILLED - President / CEO

Job Description:

The mission of AgSafe is to provide practical health and safety education to the agricultural community.

Since 1991 we have trained nearly 85,000 employers, supervisors and farm workers in the most critical issues impacting worker safety, human resources, pesticide safety and food safety.

We have a “boots on the ground” approach to these topics, teaching both the “why” and “how” to protect workers in the field, as well as packing, processing and food manufacturing facilities.

Our success stems from this practical philosophy ensuring safe, compliant practices become an integral component of a company’s culture and day-to-day operations. It is also due to our recognition and understanding that changing culture and operations means changing behavior for owners, supervisors and workers alike.
We are now seeking a President/CEO to lead our team in Modesto, CA.

The President and CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors and is supported by a staff of four members of the Leadership Team (Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Director of Education, Director of Finance, and Director of Business Services and Industry Relations), providing direction and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of their roles in support of the overall organizational goals. The President and CEO must remain neutral on political issues being raised or discussed and have a deep understanding of the issues and challenges directly impacting agricultural workers—e.g. health, safety, wages, etc.—that the agriculture industry faces today.
