Job Description:

The famous Harvest Sensations brand stands for premium quality, great tasting core conventionally grown products, amazing organically grown products, specialties and herbs from around the world, and services from our state-of-the-art facilities in both Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL.

We are able to ship by truck or air cargo and all of our facilities undergo strict third-party audits, daily shelf life testing, and HACCP training to ensure excellence in service.

We are now accepting resumes for the position of Sales Director to lead our team of sales professionals. This position is based in Miami, FL.

The Sales Director is primarily responsible for the implementation of national sales plans, supervising the sales team and having measurable incremental sales growth, year over year. The Sales Director designs and implements improved processes, including operational processes, within the customer service and sales department to ensure unwavering customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Field of work includes offices and in some instances the warehouse and surrounding grounds.
  • Limited hazards due to visits to warehouse and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by analyzing trends and results.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans to meet or exceed budgets.
  • Penetrates top customers by building effective relationships with key accounts.
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, competitors, and company inventory.
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Completes national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on results.
  • Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training employees, counseling and disciplining employees.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Oversees the sales team and ensures customer satisfaction by resolving any issues to the long-term benefit of HS.
  • Responsible for forecasting department growth, planning and coordinating customer visits, supplier tours, and industry shows.
  • Conducts weekly departmental meetings and sets weekly goals.
  • Gathers all information and Bluebook rating (credit application) for new customer and gives to Accounting for processing.
  • Prepare written communication to customers regarding company policies, holiday work schedule and inventory.
  • Work with Procurement on product forecasts and allocations.
  • Must be innovative and lead company initiatives with sales team and peers.
  • Ensure consistent and adequate follow-up with President on a regular basis.

Education: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finances; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6-9 years of related industry experience.
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 6+ years of Sales experience and some supervising experience (produce industry preferred).
  • English required; bilingual preferred.
  • Must be a Team Player.
  • Must have strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in relation to company business matters.
  • Should have organizational focus, troubleshooting abilities, and be proficient in analyzing departmental needs and problem solver.
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point); Famous experience a plus.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • Requires availability outside of normal business hours, such as weekends and evenings.
  • Travel within the U.S. and some international travel as required.
