QDC Fresh. is a Farm Direct Distributor of fresh Fruits and Vegetables. We operate out of a 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Tracy. We are staffed with veteran buyers with many years of experience in competitively procuring high quality fruits, vegetables, and specialties that meet and exceed customer expectations. We are a company that is hyper-focused on customer service and delivering exclusive, high quality, farm direct products that perform well in the marketplace.

POSITION SUMMARY

Your responsibility will be to actively service and develop customers at the highest level. This includes frequent communication and regular visits. We also encourage the further development of new customers by actively working in the field, continuously making contact with developing customers. You will also be encouraged to develop direct farm deals that can be marketed and distributed through our supply chain. You will be required to meet once per week at the Company HQ for sales and product meetings. We are in search of highly effective executives who do not require supervision to do their job effectively. You will be given all of the tools to close accounts and service them at the highest level. The rest is up to you. You will be measured according to your results.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable for revenue targets, profit margin, unit movement and customer satisfaction.

  • Actively studies and self-educates on the company’s competitive landscape and market product trends.

  • Lead customer engagement and business review strategies and potential sales opportunities.

  • Create customer proposals and presentations.

  • Represent the organization at tradeshows and networking events.

  • Actively develop new customer leads by cold calling and onsite visits. .

  • Prepare and enter sales orders.

  • Establish effective working relationships with Buyers, Operations, and QC to ensure effective customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure AR / AP requirements regarding trouble reports and/or invoicing are addressed and turned around timely.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • We are looking for individuals with experience in the Fresh produce Industry:

  • At least 5 years of Sales experience in the Fresh Produce Industry.

  • A basic knowledge of Fruits and Vegetables and Seasons.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Docs, and distribution platforms.

  • Strong sales and account management, must be organized and have strong attention to detail.

  • Effective verbal & written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work and adapt effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to meet and exceed sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction objectives, including growth targets in each of these areas.

  • Ability to work through conflict/problems and effectively find and implement solutions.

  • Ability to travel regularly between office locations, customer account locations, company programs, and sponsored events.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described are in general terms. These are what a salesperson would, and could expect, in the office, or out in the field.
  • Work Location: Remote 80% - In Office 20%

  • Stress Level: Stress level for the position is moderate. High during peak season.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee should possess to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodations.
  • Order input that would require prolonged sitting or standing data entry.

  • Prolonged periods of speaking on the phone, in person, or working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
