  • Draft and refine organizational policies and procedures to stay ahead of evolving safety requirements.

  • Perform regular inspections, internal audits, and comprehensive risk assessments to pinpoint and resolve potential hazards.

  • Formulate and facilitate training modules for staff and supply chain partners to ensure a culture of compliance and safety.

  • Direct the investigation of product quality concerns or customer feedback, implementing robust corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party auditors and government agencies, ensuring the facility remains in good standing.

  • Supervise all testing and monitoring activities, including environmental swabs, product sampling, and sanitation validation.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive continuous improvement within our quality systems.

  • Oversee the department budget and manage timelines to ensure all quality initiatives are completed efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or a closely related discipline.

  • Experience: At least 8 years in food safety management, including 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

  • USDA Expertise: Direct experience working within USDA-regulated environments is required.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industry best practices, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Certifications: Professional certification in HACCP, SQF, or BRC is essential.

  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to interpret data trends and translate them into actionable improvement strategies.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a knack for managing diverse teams.

  • Software Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel for professional reporting and data tracking.

  • Adaptability: Ability to perform duties as requested by the General Manager to support business needs.

Physical Requirements & Environment:
