Floor Supervisor, Cold Warehouse

The Cold Warehouse Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cold storage warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of perishable goods while maintaining a safe and organized working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of cold storage warehouse processes.

Essential Functions

• Supervise Warehouse Operations (40%): Direct and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of perishable goods.
• Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations (20%): Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the cold warehouse.
• Manage Inventory Levels (15%): Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Train and Develop Warehouse Staff (15%): Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to warehouse employees to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (10%): Oversee the use of warehouse management software to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reports.

Working Conditions

The Cold Warehouse Floor Supervisor works in a refrigerated environment with low temperatures. This role may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Physical Demands

This position involves frequent lifting, bending, and walking in a cold warehouse setting. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods is required.

Qualifications

• Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of cold storage warehouse operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions

• Preferred:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Previous experience with inventory management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in managing a cold storage warehouse
