Founded in 2015, Mantis Ag Technology, Inc is a leader in precision agriculture, providing innovative thinning and crop protection solutions utilizing propriety precision spray technology. Our mission is to improve grower profitability, increase operational efficiency, reduce inputs, and support sustainable farming practices through advanced agricultural technology.
Operating throughout California’s premier vegetable-growing regions and Arizona’s winter production areas, Mantis partners with leading growers to deliver higher quality and yields.
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our Company. This position is responsible for overseeing finances, agricultural practices, production quality, and labor management.
Responsibilities (includes but are not limited to the following):
· Responsible for overall company operations
· Oversee all financial aspects of the company, responsible for P/L of Mantis
· Oversee the equipment maintenance department to meet readiness and operational needs.
· Establish quality standards.
· Contract and negotiate terms and deadlines with appropriate personnel.
· Supervise and lead an operations team
· Create/Promote Team building strategies
· Create and maintain positive relationships with customers
· Monitor and adhere to customer expectations to ensure their satisfaction, including implementing quality for customer success
· With Executive Management developing a Strategic Plan and Budget for the all operational areas.
· Ensure that Mantis maintains compliance with all State and Federal Laws.
· Development of new markets and opportunities through the utilization and expansion of Mantis current technology
· Oversee R&D department
Minimum Qualifications:
· Four-year college degree, preferably in Ag Science, or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of 8 years’ experience in production AG.
· Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English. Conversational Spanish is desired but not required.
· Must possess excellent planning and scheduling abilities.
· Must be able to work effectively within a team environment.
· The successful candidate must be highly organized, a self-starter, a strategic thinker, and comfortable with recommending and developing new methods of operating.
· Must possess a valid Driver License and be insurable
