Gourmet Trading Company is a leading importer and distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables, committed to delivering premium quality produce to our customers.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grower Accountant to join our accounting team at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and reconcile accounting activities related to grower settlements.
- Perform weekly calculations, data entry, and reconciliation of grower-related charges.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of weekly grower settlement processes.
- Generate and distribute internal reports related to grower accounting.
- Collaborate with other departments to support grower accounting functions.
- Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Participate in cross-training across other accounting functions as needed.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in grower accounting. Accounts payable experience can be considered.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
Skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Salary: $25.00/HR
