The Corporate Floral Buyer involves sourcing and purchasing from regional vendors and others as assigned as well as close control of purchasing budgets, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring delivery schedules are met and preparing ongoing reports for company executives are all part of this position. Accuracy is of the most extreme importance.

- Bachelors in Horticulture or related field preferred and perishable industry experience is a plus.
- 3-5 years of prior market experience.
- Ability to multitask.
- Detail oriented - High degree of concentration and accuracy at all times.

- Decisiveness & Flexibility.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel / Word/ Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to new software and computer programs as needed.
- Evaluate market trends and price of goods and supplies in the market.
- Networking and negotiating with Suppliers for competitive prices.
- Making and filing all documentations such as purchase orders etc.
- Compiling market survey analysis and reports.
- Assisting in Budgets and Financial Plans for the purchase of supplies.
- Analyzing market reports and strategizing plans for stores.
- Completing the delegated tasks within time frame sets.
- Ensuring the maintenance of the quality standards for goods in the store.
- Assist with the procurement of perishable and non-perishable products.
- Generate procurement sheets on a timely basis following company standards and vendor time requirements.
- Verify UPCs for products.
- Work with receiving department to update any receiving changes.
- Coordinate and lineup product packaging.
- Travel to vendor sites and shows as requested by management (may involve overnights).
- Other responsibilities as requested by members of the management team.
