Job Description:
The Field Food Safety and Quality Auditor will conduct inspections and audits at assigned supplier locations and determine compliance with findings of inspections and audits.

Requirements:

Minimum of two (2) years related work experience in the fresh produce sector

Knowledge and work experience with FSMA, HACCP and Good Agricultural Practices

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Willingness and ability to travel extensively including

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and
-
Maintain integrity and accuracy of accounting system
-
Relocation to Yuma during winter season (October-April)
Responsibilities & Duties:
-
Conduct fresh produce food safety inspections/audits at the farm, harvest, and facility level
-
Summarize and evaluate inspection/audit findings
-
Consistently interpret audit guidelines and score audits
-
Communicate findings/results of inspections/audits with supplier leadership

Report supplier performance to Mann Packing management team

Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned inspections/audits within a determined timeframe

Establish and maintain effective communication with all applicable representatives and maintain strong professional and interpersonal relations with Mann Packing personnel and growers/shipper suppliers

Perform other duties as requested
Education:
- Associate degree in agriculture, plant science, crop and soil science, food science, food technology or other related scientific areas of study
Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor degree in agriculture, food safety, or business.

Multilingual – English and Spanish

Experience with produce food safety inspections/audits

Work experience in a related quality function

Lead Auditor certified
