Our Story
Who We Are
Todd Greiner Farms was established in 1994 by Todd and his wife Sarah starting with 120 acres in Elbridge Township of Hart, just miles away from the serene shores of Lake Michigan. Today, the home farm is located on the original piece of land that they started with, and the farm has grown to span over 2,000 acres. In 2012, Todd and Sarah purchased the family farm from Todd's father, this was an exciting addition which included additional acreage, storage, equipment and a second packinghouse. The expansion also added an apple source of our own, including varieties such as Honeycrisp, Gala & Fuji).
Currently, Todd Greiner Farms grows Asparagus, Sweet & Tart Cherries, Zucchini, Sweet Corn, Peaches, Winter Squash, Apples, Heirloom Pumpkins, Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkins, Field Corn and Wheat. When we finish harvesting the fall crops we transition to Christmas Evergreens which include Trees, Wreaths, Garland and Boughs. The trees and bough material used to construct the wreaths and garland are harvested early November through early December in order to ensure all of our greenery stays fresh, and is able to be enjoyed by families and businesses across the United States. We also market additional items from other Michigan based farms throughout the year to allow us to offer a larger variety of products, while still maintaining a high level of focus to the crops that we grow on our farm.
Our geographic location offers great weather conditions, and a sandy loam soil type that allows asparagus to flourish, pumpkins and squash to be harvested clean with minimal scarring and reduces disease pressure to the crops. Also, farming over 2,000 acres allows us to practice proper crop rotation in all of our fields to insure optimum plant health and higher yields.
We have a top-notch global food safety program in place that allows us to ensure we supply the absolute safest produce possible to consumers across the country. Todd Greiner Farms takes tremendous pride in growing, packing and shipping exceptional quality fruits, vegetables and evergreens to all of our customers, and aims to continue doing so for many years to come.
