We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Farm Supervisor to join our team in Gonzales, CA.
Compensation/Salary: Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide direction & coordination of farm activities with contract operators
- Plan, assign, and direct farm employees work load and responsibilities
- Coordinate with irrigator and tractor foremen to ensure they effectively execute the farm plan
- Walk fields daily and make recommendations
- Assure implementation of crop management programs to maximize yields
- Enforce all safety and food safety protocols
- Coordinate final irrigations with harvest supervisors
- Coordinate with greenhouse regarding scheduled plantings
- Assist the Farm Manager with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of agricultural production experience and/or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture
- Effective communication skills
- Bilingual
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi task
- Ability and willingness to work long hours and weekends
- Team-oriented
Compensation/Salary:
$66,560 - $75,000
