For many companies, the Delivery Driver is the “face of the company” and is an essential part of the supply chain. Companies rely on their drivers to make sure their produce orders arrive on time, in great condition and are properly transported, including at correct temperatures. Drivers are responsible for shipping some heavy cases, so being physically capable and willing to lift/move items weighing anywhere from 30-70 lbs is important.
Most importantly, drivers must take great pride and care in their duties so that the quality and food safety of the produce being transported is maintained and arrives in great shape.
Some of the most common occupation titles found in this arena are: Class A Truck Driver, CDL A Truck Driver and Delivery Truck Driver.
