Established in 1988 and based in Los Angeles, Bandwagon WPS Fresh is a highly respected wholesale produce provider. Our mission is to provide our customers with the highest quality fresh specialty produce in all categories of fruits and vegetables from all corners of the world.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Quality Control Associate to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring that our inventory processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and product quality.

Essential Job Functions:

Inventory Control

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.

  • Organize and rotate inventory using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.

  • Relocate received products from the receiving dock to designated storage locations, ensuring FIFO is applied.

  • Assist order selectors in locating inventory using FIFO principles.

  • Conduct post-shipping inventory counts based on completed work orders (pick tickets).

  • Perform routine inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

  • Support the implementation and improvement of inventory control systems and procedures.

Quality Control
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Identify, document, and report quality concerns; collaborate with buyers, desk managers, and leadership to address issues.

  • Maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports and corrective action logs.

  • Conduct daily inventory audits after shipping processes are completed in the system.

  • Resolve discrepancies between physical and digital inventory records.

  • Communicate inventory and quality issues (e.g., shorts, overages, quality defects) with relevant departments, including buying, sales, and management.

Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Multilingual a plus, specifically Spanish.

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and utilize ladders and other warehouse related equipment

  • Ability to stand, move, and bend for entire shift.

  • Ability to reach overhead.

  • Ability to work in a cold environment for full shifts.

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour

Location: Vernon, CA
