Custom Produce Sales is a fresh produce distribution center operating out of Parlier, California.
We are seeking a Grower Accountant to join our team!
DESCRIPTION
Grower Accounting
- Process and prepare Grower Account of Sales
- Track Pack-out reports and Troubles daily
- Research discrepancies
- Work with others to resolve errors
- Process Grower Charges as per contract
- Keep all grower documents organized
- Maintain accurate and up to date filing
- Assist with grower check runs as needed
- Process Transfers between warehouses
Accounts Payable
- Process & match receipts for Misc. A/P invoices
- Accurately assign G/L accounts & posting dates
- Thorough note taking & questioning of invoices
- Process Misc A/P check run weekly
- Assist in processing purchased product invoices
- Process ½ Product Check run during season
- Assist with Vendor trouble flags and settlements
- Various other duties in support of supervisor
This Position Requires:
- Full time commitment – 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, year round
- Excel/Word/10-key proficiency
- Strong Data Entry skills
- Ability to use strong math/accounting skills
- High level of organization and time management
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and can remain focused in a loud/busy environment
- Research skills, ability to ask the appropriate questions to get helpful answers
- Ability to double-check the work of yourself and others for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to work with Sales and Warehouse staff to research and resolve problems
- Good communication skills and detailed note taking abilities
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction
- Neatness in presentation of documents
Ideal Candidate Pluses:
- Basic knowledge of the produce industry helps
- Famous Software (or equivalent software) experience
- Any form of Grower or Cost Accounting background
- Experience with Imported as well as Domestic Grower Accounting
