Description:
We are seeking a Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our growing group of companies.
About the role:
The Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst's core focus will be COGS Analysis and Product Line Profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Accounting
- Grow costs based on region and commodity
- Following acre cost through Famous
- Calculate seasonal harvest costs to confirm the accuracy of charges
- June/July calculation to set winter deals and prices, and prepare for upcoming northern season
- Invoicing land tenants and sub-tenants, inclusive of rent and utilities.
- End-of-season outside grower reconciliations
- Six month & year-end closings with final reports sent to CPA
- Review and preparations of quarterly payroll filings
Secondary activities include:
- Costing and analyzing for other entities owned.
- COGS to identify the profitability of marketed items for sales entities
- Help identify loss-leaders and profitable selling limits
- Quarterly closing with inventories Year-end closings to accountant
- Create and monitor accurate packing costs for processing entities.
- Quarterly reporting to show variances in expenses.
