The Inventory Control Specialist will be tasked with monitoring inventories in our warehouse (Salisbury facility) and farm, ensuring that product is aged properly and the purchasing/ sales groups are notified when product is long or needs to be moved based on condition. The position requires analytical skills as it relates to forecasting and purchasing; assisting all teams on their needs of their respective commodities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Project customers need by commodity and communicate numbers with procurement team.
- Monitor inventories and communicate aging with Procurement and Sales.
- Work with procurement on product needs ensuring proper in stock levels.
- Monitoring price discrepancies and notifying Management.
- Running daily/weekly reports.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with Sales and Procurement personnel.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Create a daily “must move “ report.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing and Inventory control manager.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
COMPETENCIES
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and sales representatives.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors and buyers.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
