The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for increase in supply chain effectiveness and will direct all execution in area(s) of responsibility including strategy, cost control, operational efficiency, productivity, and people development. This role will work cross functional with business partners across the Supply Chain and Field Operations. Excellent executive communication skills, ability to lead and manage change, drive process improvements and a demonstrated ability to deliver results in large-scale business units are critical to the success of this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete oversight of Misionero Supply Chain including grower contracting, raw product purchasing, input purchasing, inbound freight contracting and coordination.
- Optimization of all “out of facility” activities, ensuring timely and cost-efficient arrival of inputs and delivery of goods.
- Negotiating for the benefit of the company all growing and logistics seasonal programs.
- Oversight of purchasing according to “Purchase to Payment” process and under cost benefit criteria.
- Oversight of Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse management and Stockkeeping under accounting and food safety guidelines.
- Oversight of seasonal facilities move logistics.
- Complete Oversight of Finished Goods custody chain and delivery according to “Order to Cash” process.
- Complete Oversight of Co-Pack and Packing Services suppliers, specifically coordination of East Coast Third Party Packer scheduling and delivery.
- Evaluation of raw input program with a focus on risk and availability management, contract structuring and supply base diversification.
- Raw Program seed and growth planning.
- Evaluation of current facilities logistical constraints and third-party “cooling and storage” contracts to optimize costs while ensuring quality and availability.
- Assist in the formation of “new facility investment” business case supported by savings in third party “cooling and storage”.
- Control over departmental Regular and Overtime manning management.
- Evaluation of purchasing guidelines and optimization of cash flow through “days on hand” management and quoting reviews.
- Manage cost improvement initiatives to achieve on-going operational cost optimization.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in related field
- Experience leading a supply chain organization required, to include purchasing, planning, and strategic sourcing in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in operations management multifunctional manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years at a plant leadership level.
- Experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Practical and applied knowledge of budgeting, materials planning, production control, and operations management practices.
- Experience with financial aspects of operations management.
- Experience and practical knowledge of lean manufacturing systems
- Demonstrated experience with effective decision making.
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
- Track record of meeting commitments and deliverables.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with Peers, business stakeholders and executive leadership.
- High degree of flexibility and versatility.
- Able to travel to multiple locations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
