The primary role of this position is to:
- Schedule, track and monitor freight of finished goods and raw product between two facilities
- Ensure trucks depart and arrive on time and communicate any late loads to Manufacturing or Shipping
- Track and monitor finished goods inventories
- Manage demand for finished goods transfers
- Enter transfer orders from Salinas to Yuma
Experience:
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics/Navision or similar ERP platform preferred.
- Must have experience working in a fast paced professional work setting.
- Contact and set schedules with all carriers the number of daily loads needed in both Yuma and Salinas for raw and finished goods.
- Monitor the inbound delivery times by load for raw and finished goods.
- Manage demand for finished goods inventory by maintaining sufficient inventory levels by SKU to ensure product availability (on-hand target, safety stock) to fulfill customer shipments. This includes looking into the Navision system to determine on-hand balance for approximately 40-50 items, reviewing upcoming product demand, product that is due, determining the number of cases that need to go on the transfer truck and issuing the transfer order.
- Enter finished good transfer orders from Salinas to Yuma in the Navision system.
- Manage Yuma warehouse inventory transactions. This includes running reports to identify and push out old inventory, maintain inventory accuracy by reviewing on-hand inventory and determining what is needed on the next transfer truck; running aged inventory reports and identifying the product and quantity of aged inventory and taking appropriate steps to dispose of the inventory.
- Keep records of all order numbers to verify with KLS freight payment service.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or related field, or four (4) years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education/training and work experience. Work experience must be related and may consist of working in inventory management, logistics, or warehousing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to air conditioning. The employee is also exposed to cold temperatures and heat when visiting plant processing and warehousing locations. The employee may visit plant locations where the use of chemical substances is present and used in the processing plant. Employee's work is also subject to the pressures of time constraints and deadlines. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
