The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a driven and dynamic Territory Sales Manager to spearhead business development across the Northeast region. This is a hybrid position—you’ll split your time between remote work, in-person collaboration at our Brooklyn office, and frequent travel to visit customers.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and has a road warrior mindset. Your mission will be to uncover and grow new business opportunities, primarily in the retail sector, while also developing relationships in foodservice and wholesale channels.
This role requires weekly travel, often involving day trips and overnight stays, so flexibility and strong organizational skills are a must. You’ll be a key player in expanding our presence and building lasting customer relationships throughout the region.
*Must reside within commute range to Brooklyn
Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop new retail, foodservice, and wholesale accounts
- Maintain and grow relationships with current customers
- Deliver in-person product presentations and build strong rapport
- Identify customer needs and offer tailored solutions
- Prepare weekly call reports and sales updates
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Negotiate pricing and programs to drive profitability
- Stay responsive and agile in a time-sensitive environment
- Responsible for growing market share and implementing sales forecasts
- Communicate daily or as needed with management, discussing all issues, successes, and opportunities pertaining to your designated area
- Willingness to travel regionally on a weekly basis as required
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience in produce or a similar perishable goods industry
- Strong knowledge of the retail, foodservice, and wholesale landscape
- A proven track record of B2B sales success in produce
- Ability to independently manage and grow a territory
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Critical thinker with strong attention to detail
- Energetic, self-motivated, and ready to hit the ground running
- Existing record of sales relationships and accomplishments in the produce industry.
- Understand and achieve monthly sales goals.
