We have an immediate opening for an experienced Cost Accounting Controller to undertake all aspects of cost accounting, financial reporting, budget and job costing preparation, as well as development and oversight of internal control policies and procedures.
Oversee the month-end financial close of all job costing and reporting process; financial planning and analysis, budget comparisons, etc. Reconciling various reports and financial data, journal entries, and accounting staff supervision.
Requires thorough knowledge of cost accounting procedures in the agriculture industry including but not limited to growing, harvesting, cooling, & transporting; Extensive Excel and General Ledger systems knowledge; FAMOUS software knowledge a plus; ability to perform in a fast paced high pressure environment, and manage long-distance functions and personnel; direct work of accounting staff to successfully meet financial deadlines; strong verbal and written communication skills.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar. MBA and/or CPA Preferred. Bilingual preferred but not required. You will also be required to travel to all company locations (travel 25% to 35% of the time.
