We are currently seeking an experienced Berry Buyer to be the liaison between our grower-supplier clients, account managers, and buyer-clients.
Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships and identifying and pursuing new customer opportunities.

Knowledge of market trends, key industry players, competitors, and commodity growing regions and supply chain logistics.

Understanding of fresh produce harvest and production, seasonality, costing and distribution.

Experience with supply chain management and coordinate with transportation to fulfill customer needs.

Oversee quality control, product rejections, and resolve vendor disputes.

Negotiate the lowest possible cost against the optimum quality and schedule needs.

Ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional team and company-wide initiatives.

Conduct business with the highest level of integrity with the ability to manage and lead people.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Highly proficient in financial planning, budgeting, and goal setting
-
Fresh berry category expertise with current contacts within the Berry Industry.

Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
-
Knowledge in ERP Software preferred.
