Taylor Farms Colorado is part of a national company, with this location being in Colorado Springs. Taylor Farms is the leader in the packaged salad industry, and our operation in Colorado Springs has been in business for over 30 years. We process a variety of fresh-cut produce.
The Lead Hayssen Machines Operator is responsible for monitoring the packaging and training new Hayssen Operators.
Job Description:
- Responsible for monitoring that packaging is in optimal condition
- Ensures that the machines are running efficiently and effectively while also fulfilling the Safety, Quality and GMP standards
- Responsible for training new Hayssen Operators
- Inspect the packaging machinery prior to starting the packaging process
- Can operate machinery to control the weights, air leaks, and package integrity
- Can coordinate with the maintenance department any repairs and adjustments as necessary
- Monitor and assure that the codes, dates, tape, labels, graphics, boxes, etc. are correct
- Must be proactive and motivated to learn the tasks of the position
- Have good communication with crew leaders, packers and Quality Control
- Available to work Monday through Saturday.
- The ability to lift 50 to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to grab with both hands repeatedly, able to stand for prolonged periods of time, occasionally lift, pull and push.
- Must be able to reach and / or work above shoulder height.
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Work independently and good math skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Hayssen Machine operator experience
Starting wage: $20.00 - $30.00/hour Depending on experience
