Job Description:
Betteravia Farms is looking for a qualified individual to join the Pest Control Advisor Department in Santa Maria, CA. As the Pest Control Advisor you are responsible for supervising pest management programs. You are also responsible for identifying pests, weeds and other organisms on our fields, as well as implementing updated practices on a regular basis.

Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience with agricultural chemicals.
- PCA Licence desired but not required.
- Self-starter, independent personality, ability to multi-task and manage both short and long term goals.
- Excellent planning and scheduling abilities
- Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred but not required.

Position is full-time, Monday through Saturday.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Vegetable disease and pest management: Scouting, monitoring, and implementation of control measures and maintaining accurate chemical records.
- Pest control recommendations.
- Follow up on chemical applications to check efficacy.
- Ability to work with Harvest Crews to determine quality controls.
- Environmental chemical hazard awareness.
- Ability to prepare and work with budget perimeters.
- Ability to work with ranch managers to coordinate pesticide applications.
- Knowledge of agriculture chemicals.
- Continuing education to increase chemical knowledge level and legislature updates.
