Job Description:
We are looking for a Farm Controller to join our team in Arizona!
This position is responsible for the day-to-day, multi-location accounting operations of the farming division of Al Dahra Farms USA LLC, including the production of periodic financial reports, financial analysis, and the maintenance of the system of accounting records and farming internal controls. The Controller supervises multi-farm cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions and is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of Al Dahra Farms USA LLC general ledger accounts.

Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance required; MBA and/or CPA candidates preferred
- 7 years accounting experience in a fast-paced environment with progressive advancement
- Strong financial accounting background preferred
- Tax experience is desirable
- Costing and Inventory Valuation experience, required
- Experience in farm related accounting is highly desirable
- Superior demonstrated PC skills (Excel, Access) is a must
- Strong ERP software experience required (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Previous financial or analytical experience, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for short monthly cycle close process
- Responsible for preparation of monthly farm financial reporting
- Responsible for maintenance and monitoring of inventory systems
- Responsible for grower accounting and grower contract management
- Identify, evaluate and lead key initiatives such as business process redesign, cost savings initiatives and system development projects
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives
- Assess, improve and maintain a strong internal control structure
- Serve as the key contact for all farm related audits, prepare audit schedules, and drive successful outcomes for all audits
- Review or complete general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare or review statutory filings to local, state and federal agencies timely and accurately
- Adhere to US GAAP
- Maintain a comprehensive set of accounting policies and procedures
- Other duties as required
