The Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market is looking for a dynamic high energy and out of the box thinking General Manager who can create unique customer experiences within the market.
The General Manager serves as the goodwill ambassador for the market, and will daily interact with the tenants, leasing, property management, members of the marketing team, staff at all levels and the board of directors to ensure the efficient daily operation of the world’s largest fully enclosed fully refrigerated wholesale produce market.
The General Manager will be responsible for tracking and maximizing the financial performance of the market to include all Income, expenses, capital improvements, budgets, forecasts, sales and traffic generation as well as the formation of long-term strategic plans that focus on growth and driving profitable revenue.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Suggested but not limited to backgrounds in Property Management, Facilities Management, Warehouse Operations
- People leadership skills
- Experience creating innovative customer experiences
- Previous retail property management, real estate or similar experience helpful but not required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Creative and dynamic thinker
- Results oriented with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and meet commitments
- Ability to think innovatively and implement with a sense of urgency
- Strong negotiating and sales skillset
