In the Produce industry, there are two primary types of auditors.
There are Financial Auditors who are specialists who review the accounts of companies and organisations to ensure the validity and legality of their financial records. They can also act in an advisory role to recommend possible risk aversion measures and cost savings that could be made.
Then there are Food Safety Auditors who are responsible to audit a company's Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs to ensure they are in compliance with the appropriate government and industry regulations and standards with regard to Food Safety.
Some job titles that exist in this field are: Quality Assurance / Food Safety Auditor, Accounts Payable Auditor, Agriculture Auditor, Order Checker Auditor, Operational Auditor, etc
