Job Description: 

Blue Banner Company is a leading provider in the citrus packing industry, committed to quality, service, and operational excellence. We are seeking experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join our administrative and finance team. This individual will play a key role in managing customer accounts, invoicing, collections, and maintaining strong relationships with our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable: 

  • Process and post customer invoices accurately and on time.
  • Monitor customer accounts and aging reports.
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, EDI remittance)
  • Research and resolve short payments, deductions, and chargebacks.
  • Maintain accurate A/R records and documentation.

Customer Setup & Support: 

  • Set up new customers in the accounting/ERP system.
  • Verify credit applications, tax documentation, and required onboarding forms.
  • Maintain and update customer master data.
  • Coordinate with Sales and operations to ensure smooth customer onboarding.

EDI & Systems:

  • Manage EDI transactions including invoices, remittance advice, and acknowledgments.
  • Troubleshoot EDI errors in coordination with customers, brokers, and IT/EDI providers.
  • Ensure data accuracy between EDI, accounting, and sales systems.

Inside Sales Support: 

  • Work closely with the inside sales team to support billing accuracy.
  • Assist with pricing verification and invoice corrections.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing and payment questions.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • 3-5+ years of Accounts Receivable or accounting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining customer accounts.
  • Familiarity with EDI systems and electronic invoicing.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred: 

  • Experience in produce, agriculture, or food distribution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of PACA regulations.
  • Experience supporting or working alongside a sales team.
  • ERP system experience (e.g. Famous, Produce Pro, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)

Compensation: 

  • Range ($70K to $75K)
