Job Description:
ABOUT THE POSITION:
- The CFO is responsible for all financial matters of Scaroni Family of Companies and its affiliate organizations
- Report to and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement strategies across the organization and must be a motivated self-starter
- Will require travel to Imperial Valley, Salinas and occasional travel to Mexico
- Flexible and willing to do whatever is required to get the job done

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide leadership by example, establishing and maintaining quality standards
- Oversee month end and financial close and reporting process
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
- Oversee cash, investment, and asset management
- Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as maintain healthy banking relationships
- Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
- Manage the development and monitoring of annual budgets
- Develop financial business plans and forecasts
- Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections.
- Represent the Company to business partners, including financial institutions, insurers, auditors, public officials, etc.
- Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions
- Mentor and develop a direct finance team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic
- Remain up-to-date on Scaroni Family of Companies and state and federal tax law
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of the financial reporting to Scaroni Family of Companies’ Board of Directors/Owners; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements
- Manage yearly audits and proper and timely filing of tax returns
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
