Agricultural Services Manager

Job Description:

The Mission and Position

This colleague’s mission is to transplant and harvest processing tomatoes, productively and safely, in order to provide great customer-grower satisfaction.

This person will coordinate achieving their mission with several other operations and logistical colleagues, be based in the Los Banos area of California’s Central Valley and operate throughout the Valley.  The successful candidate would likely have a meaningful, formal education in Mission related disciplines, such as, business and agriculture and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

This is not a foreman position; it is a hands-on, leadership role in a sizable agriculture services operation.  The successful candidate should also understand business applications, such as Excel, and be willing to track productivity data.

Our company is operated by colleagues without titles or an appointed hierarchy of authority.  Authority relative to other colleagues’ activities is lateral, with each colleague’s Mission as their guiding principle of action, and respect, influence and success having to be built based on each colleague’s competency, integrity, effort, persistence and straight-forward persuasiveness.  Although we have grown significantly, we intend to maintain a culture of individual responsibility and self-management.
