Job Description: 

We are a leading global fresh produce company importing and selling Citrus, Pomegranates, Tropicals, Berries, and other categories sourced from trusted growers around the globe. We supply top markets across the United States. We’re a nimble, growing produce company with deep industry relationships and high standards for quality and service. 

We are seeking a Category Manager to join our team in New Jersey (hybrid or remote possible).

You'll work with a supportive, entrepreneurial team that values transparency and follow-through. Also - you will represent a trusted product line from regions including Israel, Peru, Morocco, Chile, South Africa, and more. 

This is a high-impact role with opportunity for advancement as we expand our U.S. footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Consult, Coordinate, and Execute a roll out of sales in new markets and new categories - including working with procurement to estimate volumes and sales outcomes.
  • Establish and manage produce sales accounts in retail, wholesale, and foodservice channels.
  • Handle the full sales process: from lead generation and quoting to order entry, logistics coordination, and post-sale service.
  • Build relationships with buyers and decision-makers to grow business volume.
  • Enter and track orders using our ERP, excel, etc.
  • Work with logistics and procurement to ensure accurate product delivery and timely communication.
  • Support pricing updates, inventory awareness, invoicing accuracy, and customer service needs.
  • Provide market insights and reporting to support leadership planning.
  • Represent the company at produce industry events, trade shows, and client visits (occasional travel required).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fresh produce sales, preferably in fruit categories.
  • Experience selling seasonal fresh fruit programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills; customer-first approach.
  • Organized and tech-savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, order platforms, and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal business environment with good judgment and collaboration.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
