Join an independent, dynamic force in the produce industry that has been delivering quality products for 7 years. We're looking for a dedicated Regional Salesman specializing in Greens for our Los Angeles operations.
As a Regional Category Salesman, you'll shape and grow the Greens categories within our region. You'll be the primary regional authority on these items, providing strategic and tactical leadership.
- Create strategies to increase the profit of the Greens category.
- Handle daily pricing decisions as well as promotional and contract-based pricing.
- Oversee daily tasks of the Greens category, including contract negotiations, project handling, and reporting.
- Generate monthly and quarterly sales reports for the Greens category.
- Lead sales efforts and manage supply to meet our targets.
- Encourage innovation in the Greens category and boost our branded sales programs.
- Minimum 3+ years fresh produce experience (in buying and selling roles), specifically in Greens.
- 3+ years of category management experience at the retail level is a plus.
- Strategic, creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superb service skills with customers and suppliers, a good understanding of finance, and outstanding skills in both writing and speaking.
- In-depth knowledge of the Grower/Shipper side of the industry.
- Willingness to travel 2-3 days per month to visit customers/growers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus).
- Knowledge and ability to use basic software programs such as Word, Excel, Google platforms, ProducePro.
$65,000 to $125,000 per year depending upon experience.
