Responsible for coordinating overall logistics and operations day to day tasks to ensure effectiveness and efficiency as well as customer service. The Operations & Logistics Specialist will communicate directly with custom brokers, warehouses, carriers, and other service providers to create efficiencies within the process.

Collect BL from warehouses, and shippers to ensure that they match with each order in the system.

Ship orders in the system as well as send shipping confirmations to customers.

Receive lots in the system, as well as print pallet tag. Also, provide pallet tags to Freshway's Warehouse team.

Contact and coordinate Quality Inspections with third party company (DecoFruit).
-
Match physical inventory with system inventory.
-
Daily communication with Custom Broker, Ocean Carriers, Trucks Dispatchers to ensure on time delivery.

Quick checks to inbound lots and/or orders when needed.

Assist drivers when they check-in and provide them with all the necessary documentation.

Print the labels in accordance with the order/customer.

Print Pick Tickets of each lot for Freshway’s QC Specialist.

Contact the Repack team at Freshway's Warehouse to schedule recondition, edit lots of quantities as update system once results have been provided and approved by supervisor.

Suggest any ideas for process improvement.
ADMINISTRATIVE:

Answer the phone courteously.

Support Executive management in day-to=day transactions and operational requirements for continued business growth.

Maintain schedules and itinerary for President/CEO of the Company.

Assist sales department when needed with order status to customers.

Arrange travel and customer visits as required.

Support and collaborate in the company’s marketing efforts including social media content.

Manage document retention/storage and provide recommendations for improvement.

Work collaboratively and effectively with all Company departments (Sales, Transportation, Warehouse, Procurement, Marketing, Accounting and Human Resources) to achieve daily cross-functional objectives.

Office management – vendor and supplier relations, overall organization. Order warehouse and office supplies.

Maintain and manage the office budget.

Support AR collections process including visits to the post office and bank deposits when needed.

Ensure that samples to new and/or existing customers are sent on the requested date.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience
-
Logistics and A/P experience a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).

Customer service. Courteous on the phone.

Analytical and detail oriented.

Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
