As a Service/Systems Technician with JBT FoodTech, you will service and maintain the control and mechanical systems on leased and/or sold machinery, labelers, and chemical application systems in customer packinghouses. You will also build and install leased and/or sold equipment and perform these activities with minimal supervision.

Mandatory:
- High school or GED
- Experience with industrial motor controls, instrumentation and PLC electrical components
- Willing to work all shifts and weekends as required
- Hold and maintain a valid California driver’s license with no points
Preferred:
- Electrical and/or Electronic technician work experience and training
- Electrical circuitry training
- PLC programming training
- Three years electrical experience
- Demonstrated previous mechanical ability
- Build and install control systems (assemble, wire, and test control panels and systems from schematic drawings and install control systems in customer locations).
- Maintain and support control systems (provide technical support on equipment, ensure spare parts are available when required, train customers and service personnel, respond to customers’ requests).
- Maintain labeling and chemical application systems (mix and set-up process materials, maintain all reports and records, implement preventative maintenance and overhaul programs, assure that machinery performs to JBT and customer standards and specifications).
- Develop a rapport and work closely with customer personnel in the operation of their plants.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be physically capable of:
- Working 8 plus hours per day, 7 days per week, for extended periods during the processing season
- Working around moving industrial machinery, exposure to machinery noise, chemicals, and fumes from associated products
- Lifting, pushing, pulling an average maximum weight of 50 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and squatting
- Working in moderate cold to extreme heat
- Using hand tools
- Stepping up/down material handling equipment (forklift truck)
