Job Description:
Position Information: The Marketing Specialist will continually look for new and improved ways to reach our audience and maintain relationships vital to our organization. Responsibilities also include overseeing and analyzing the performance of development, communications, and marketing campaigns, managing the communications and marketing budget, and ensuring that all communications, PR, and marketing materials are in line with our company.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Lakeside’s management team to develop communications and marketing strategy across the company.
- Directly manage the development and production of branded print collateral such as company site signage, banners, business cards, letterhead, advertising campaigns, company calendar, etc. to ensure brand standards are adhered and overall image standards are upheld. Able to meet deadlines. Present concepts and design to owner for approval (based on sales and forecasts provided by sales)
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns.
- Research and produce valuable and engaging content for our website and social media.
- Design and manage production of print and digital marketing materials.
- Maintain company website (WordPress CMS), social media platform accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more), and direct/email marketing (Constant Contact); including content writing and editing, photo editing and occasional photography. Ensure all information is up-to-date across media platforms.
- Participate in planning and executing major special events/trade shows.
- Stay informed on recent trends in the industry by attending trade shows and reading applicable news, periodicals, and other advertising/news mediums; both print and online
- Manage photo shoots and video production for in-house marketing purposes and external requests from customers, partners or professionals
- Write and distribute press releases, maintain press contact list.
- Attend and participate in all meetings and trainings as assigned.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by owner or management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, internet, calendaring applications, and social media platforms.
- Strong community networking skills and ability to build resources and relationships.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of independent thinking and judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a can do and flexible attitude.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct, attitude and appearance at all times.
