Setton Farms is seeking an ambitious and energetic individual to join our Grower Relations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with the company’s grower partner community.
- Minimum 3 years of agricultural experience in farming, growing, harvesting, irrigation or similar capacity
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the region
- Valid California driver’s license and clean DMV record
The functions of the position will include advising growers on cultural practices, providing updates on industry production research, offering guidance on best-practice farming techniques, assisting with pesticide application and compliance in addition to assisting growers with the adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) methods. Various other responsibilities include performing field condition assessments, attending educational farming workshops and trade events and preparing harvest forecasts. Approximately 50% of the candidate’s time will be spent in the field with the grower community.
- Four year college degree in Agriculture, Crop Science or similar field
