Job Description: 

Sinclair Systems International, LLC is currently seeking a customer focused Label Production Supervisor (LPS) with strong leadership and operational experience for its manufacturing location in Wenatchee, WA.    

Sinclair Systems International, LLC is the Global Leader in produce labeling, label applicators and service for the produce market.  Established, in the US, in 1983 Sinclair is the major label supplier to the citrus, apple, stone fruit, avocado and greenhouse tomato shippers in the country.  Sinclair operates sites in the United States and England and manages agents throughout the world.  

The Label Production Supervisor will direct production staff in a manufacturing environment, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.  The individual in this key role is responsible for supervising the on time, to specification, safe manufacture of products in a controlled environment.

Requirements: 
  • Two year degree (AS or AA) or vocational training certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in flexographic production.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic communications, industrial technology, engineering, operations, business management or administration, or a similar discipline.
  • Certification in Lean Six-Sigma or Six-Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience in ISO and BRC standard operating procedures preferred.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Responsible for the daily activities of Pre-press, Press Operators, and Packer/Rewind employees on all production shifts.
  • Inspect labels to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of printing equipment.
  • Administer time reporting; schedule and approve FTO, make time record adjustments as necessary, and approve weekly timecards.
  • Initiate and investigate non-conforming material forms as necessary.
  • Serves as liaison between production employees and management.
  • Perform assigned work associated with maintaining third party certifications including ISO and BRC.
  • Maintain equipment operational status and planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain records of production, efficiency, laminate waste, tool life, and VOC emissions.
  • Travel to other manufacturing sites as assigned, domestically and internationally.
  • Assist with employee hiring, appraisals and disciplinary actions.
