Dole Fresh Fruit Company is seeking a Banana Ripener to assist a team in vendor managed banana operations in a highly fluid warehouse setting for a national retailer. This position reports to the Ripening Manager.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate through various formats including phone and email.
- Travel as needed and required.
- Understand color progression during ripening process.
- Functional Expertise Has developed skills in a range of processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks.
- Business Acumen Ability to understand how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others.
- Problem Solving Ability to recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area with supervisory approval.
- Interpersonal Skills/ Influence.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Assist in vendor managed banana operations.

Conduct required quality inspections and communicate reports daily.

Coordinate labor with regard to conditioning inbound fruit and loading ripening rooms.

Perform daily inspections for ripened fruit with customer QA personnel to meet customer specification.

Coordinate labor for staging of fruit to be outturned, ensure that fruit is outturned timely for order assembly.

Perform daily inventory management and reconcile as needed with third party.

Maintain a documented sanitation preventative maintenance program to ensure ripening rooms are running efficiently.

Perform work outside of normal business hours as needed and required; perform other projects as needed and assigned by the Ripening Manager.

Conduct weekly retail survey calls, maintain a documented file.
